Peejay is 6 years old and the biggest donkey at 12 hands high, with lovely brown hair. The 'Gentle Giant' of the group, she will often come and rest her head on Maggie's shoulder or in her arms. She didn't take to the sand too readily at first as she didn't like the way that the sand moved under her feet, so she flatly refused to walk on it. Slowly, she came to realise that she wasn't about to be swallowed up by the sand and she is now one of the best.
Peejay is very affectionate and likes to nibble clothes. Not knowing her own strength, she can sometimes nearly pull you over.
She does not like getting her feet wet and refuses to go through any water.
PeeJay will sometimes rest her head on my back when I am poo picking. 'Poo picking' is my expression for clearing the field of donkey poo.
She is loved by all of the donkeys, but her best friend is Sooty.
